Yea Kelly he was a real killer...had to wrap him in the coat to control his "rage" lol Here is another that is just crazy!! Since her ears are back that means she is getting ready to attack....as I'm sure you can tell with that evil look in her eyes.
I almost didn't make it out of there alive. She used her tail as a lethal weapon(no not the movie)

Jenni,

One of the cutest, funniest and best "ambassador for the breed" I have ever seen was a schutzhund-trained and titled blue pit in the PNW.   The dog LOVED her bitework.  But, that is not what made her  "outstanding."  People loved knowing that she was entered in a trial, because she was always good for a laugh during the trial.  She came up with some new way to  do the" my dog never did that before,"   with a grin on her face and a wildly wagging tail the entire time.   Fortunately, her owner/handler had a great sense of humor and cracked up as much as everyone else at Ceda's antics during the trial.    She even won over at least one German judge who had made his anti-pitbull feelings known.   He ended up remarking that she was a fun dog for the sport during his critique.

However you want to characterize them -- and they may be great -- they are still UGLY.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!  They might think you are ugly too. I would take an "ugly" Pit with a mild to good temperament over a beautiful GSD with crapy temperament anyday.....and I am a GSD person.

When I was fairly new to working dogs I was given a GSD working line.  It was probable best suited for a lone security dog.  Anyway we had the dog for two weeks when I gave my wife a hug outside of our home.  The dog walked around us and behind my wife.  Suddenly my wife started to run.  I was the dog attacked to her with a full bite around her butt.  My wife than fell, just like in the movies.  The dog proceded to let go of her butt and rebite her on the back of her leg and shake side to side.  At the time I was not prepared for this dog.  I do not blame the dog, I blame myself.  The dog bite me as well.  I foolishly thought I could play fetch with him.  Around the trihd or fourth throw as a picked up the tennis ball he bite me on the arm.  I knew not to fight the dog I held still and after a very long minute or so he let go and grabed the tennis ball.  My fault again, I should have played two ball.

Point being there was nothing wrong with the pit bull.  The problem lies in the owner who did not know the dog very well.  There are so many triggers that people are not aware of.  Even after setting off the trigger I would bet your average pet person would not know what chain of events led to the atteck.

Sadly the dog was put to sleep.  Now at this time I would love a dog like this and can not find one.  Strange I know who would like a dog like this.  Well I would.

Opposite of this the pit bulls I have owned were nothing like this.  My GSD would bite you way before the pit would.  That is unless you put your hand into his food dish.  My pit loves people like crazy.  The GSD will be totally neutral and you could pet her.  However in the wrong hands my GSD would most definately bite a person.
