Has anybody else watched this show with these tough, tattooed, Harley dudes in action? These bikers use their influence to help rescue, advocate and educate for abused, neglected or abandoned animals. Do you think their obviously intimidating presences help get the message out, or hinder it?

I think its just one more reality show not any better than any of the others.
Well staged.
Well staged.

Why do you call it a reality show? And why staged? You think they staged chasing chickens in Long Island? LOL

There are all kinds of bikers,
All kinds of causes.
Can't say I'm a Tattoo fan per say.
I just wasn't impressed for some reason.
They are not intimidating to me, I know real bikers.
I dunno, just my opinion.

beetree, that episode was funny. I tried it a few times. They have had a few real sicko's on there, that should be PTS.

Hey Bee----That is great of them.I will have to say that there is an intimidation thing going on but who cares if it helps the animals.lol I was put on a benefit to raise $$ for a wildlife sanctuary. The band we had kinda drew the crowd of bikers. They were great.I asked the one if he would go around and have people buy raffle tickets. I couldn't believe how many he sold. He was sweet as a puppy but looked like a killer. The group of them was great. I have met many bikers and never had any problems with them. They were a cool bunch of people...would trust them more then some of the people on this forum!! lol

I know the guys mean well, but it would not play well around here at all.
There would be trouble.
There would be trouble.

I think it is not so much we bikeriders that people fear - rather it is what many of us represent with our lust for freedom, our refusal to back away, and an ingrained sense of brotherhood and patriotism. These qualities scare the hell out of those who are past the interpretation of these words.
We bikeriders; whether we are IND's or 1%ers generally have no reason to intimidate anyone. As far as I am concerned; anyone who is intimidated by us probably has an unspoken reason to feel that way.

Bob-O

LOL...
Bob,
I'm talking real biker, not these guys.
And yeah they can scare the hell out of a person, just for the hell of it, and for good reason.
At least the ones are aren't dead yet or in the slam.
But I know where your coming from, and with that I agree.
Moons.

Moons, I know, and that is how I took your post - I was not offended. And if I was - who cares? I must admit that the weekend warriors (a.k.a. blacktop commando wannabees) do make me snicker a bit as they seek to be part of the "image" I guess some of us project. We do tolerate them as they are generally good people and cause us no grief.
But, never trust a couple of these guys near you at 100+ miles per hour when you are running with the pack. They just don't seem to "get it" about maintaining a tight group formation at any capable speed, so they are not welcome to ride with me. And for the other extreme edge - there is a valid reason for the existence of penitentiaries.

Bob-O
