GSDfan

Looking through pics of my boy (now retired), made me laugh thought I'd share
1st is me listening attentively to instructions...my dog also very attentive lol.
Doesn't it look like he understands more than I do? lmao!

2nd pic....the very first time I saw my dog take a bite....woooww....coooooool! Hook line and sinker! lol

Nah not scary...I was mezmerized...standing there "watching" in awe like a doofus lol.  It took me a couple months to stop "watching" my dog and doing what I was supposed to lmao!!

Thanks:-)

I've done the same thing. It's like you are in a different world....spaced out ...and then realizing Oh crap that is my dog and they want me to grab the leash. DUH!! lol

You are right about your expression and your dog's expression in the first picture, that's funny!

Very good! Looks like you're a bit worried but the dog is quite confident! Pictures are funny - they only capture a 'bit of' a moment..............but sometimes they sum up the feelings.............

Andy looks like he is waiting for instructions and is really paying attention, lol.  Love it when they do something awesome and then go - oh wait, I am out her too and better get going.  I bet you have quite the photo album of Andy and all of his accomplishments.  Still hard to believe that he is retired.  I miss seeing him in action.

I am SORRY he is retired.  You know how much I think of Andy!!!!!  Dogs like Andy should stay young a much longer time.  Hopefully you will have an offspring you want to keep on day that is a lot like him and then it all begins again----though you now have non-doofus status :-)  What a great dog is Andy Maly Vah SCHH3, IPO3, PSA1, PDK9(RET), CDX, RN, TC, TDI/CGC Kkl 2 ,  Barb

Very nice pictures and what a great dog to have and train with.  Their only fault is they get old too quickly.

I was always amazed at their unreal power and speed.  I too was hooked the minute my boy and girl took their first bites. I also find a sense of peace when they bite, I have to be so much in the moment paying absolute undistracted attention to my dog (weird I know).  I also find a vicarious thrill and I often pretend the decoy is something I am pissed off at, rather carthartic.  Wonder if they feel the same way LOL

First time I took a bite for a K9 was AMAZING and scary at the same time but I was hooked.

Loki at 18 months with my trainer friend Hector
