When you are selling a dog or pup, ask a lot of questions and don't be afraid. If someone gets pissed off too easily and jumps to conclusions and misunderstands your intentions, this person is a HOTHEAD and probably doesn't have the patience to care for and train a dog.

Same goes for someone you contact about buying a dog or puppy. If they refuse to give you information or get nasty - WALK AWAY and do not put up with verbal abuse. First sign of a scammer! Or a whacko that will sell you abused animals!

Got message passed down pipeline. I would rather stick my neck out and give people a warning - let them check it out a beware. With so much scamming it's incredible! People will feed you a line of jive, play on your heart strings - say they are sick or poor or some other horse sh*t.   Don't let yourself be suckered!

I had a guy call me about my litter just last week that was a wacko and a 1/2. While he's on the phone talking to me he and his GF get into a heated fight. Talk about an awkward moment.....it was an easy way for me to hurry off the phone when I politely said "this obviously isn't a good time for you, perhaps you should consider a pup from the shelter".

I almost get taken aback when people DONT ask me a ton of questions. Most of the time I'm the one doing the screening.

I get ALL KINDS that call. lol

I have to decide in the first few moments if I even want this person showing up at my door.

I'm pretty good at it.

Let them do all the talking while you decide.

Moons.

I just got scammed this week on a pup that was supposed to be awesome, but is nothing but health concerns!!!  How can anyone sit and lie to you is beyond me!!!  It is very upsetting to think about how many people this guy has sold unhealthy pups to!!!

Sorry, I am still chuckling over "line of jive." :-) I have not heard that phrase in a lifetime. :-)

Line of jive - oldie but goodie! Nothing like giving away your age! Or your TV-watching habits!
