habanaro

As summer approaches many of us are wondering about summer outdoor entertainment. With the poor economy many want to enjoy cookouts with their friends but are concerned with the rising costs of groceries. I have a simple solution that I believe can greatly reduce your cookout food expenditures. I belong to numerous dog clubs. Whenever we cook out people always tell me that I don’t have to bring anything. In the past I have brought such delicacies as deep fried sugar cookies, onion water, Habanaro apple pie, Green eggs and spam, spam kabobs, sardine jello, lard cake, Vlaasic and Phillips screwdrivers,

My wife does not let me cook much in the house any more. She insists that I now only boil foods. It is her Idea that if I am cooking something in water than it is much more difficult to start a fire. I don’t know why she feels that way our local fire department guys are real friendly, at least for the times they have been out to the house

My idea is this buy some potato salad now and put in the garage. Leave it at room temp until July. When your friends show up open that sucker up and I bet no one wants to eat much.

With all the money you save you can sponsor a trophy... its just that simple.

Jeff,

People might wish to take advantage of your suggestion, but really, why go to all the trouble when one could simply go to Florida and collect some of those dead iguanas and consider serving them? LOL BBQ anyone?

I kind of like the idea of sardine jello. It sounds simple enough to make and only requires that you boil water and open a can. You don't even need a can opener. Left overs could easily be shared with the local raccoons.
