iv heard from a lot of trainers iv worked with that the ddr gsd is the best gsd there is and the handlers iv spoke to say they love the ddr because of the pure bloodline and they rarely get ill is all this true ? iv been looking to get a new puppy( my boy is ready to retire ) are they hard hiting ,hit like a rocket etc ? and also am i right in saying that the ddr stands for Deutsche Demokratische Republik and is an east german bloodline ??? i have worked a few really good dogs and most was black and tan thanks

Clint, I think your puppies are cuties. I think you are doing the right thing by placing your pups where you can keep an eye on them. If you would be in the breed for the money, you could have tried to sell these puppies. The only thing I would do is place these pups with the agreement they be spaded or neutured.

My advice to you, keep asking questions, thats the only way you will learn. Keep coming here to get educated about our breed from the people who know the breed the best. Those people will be more than willing to help you and will be less likely to judge you or insult you, if thats what you felt happened to you. There is an old saying where I come from. "The cream will always rise to the top." Meaning the best always rises. Whatever is less than best, will fall. So hold your head high, and ask questions. Sit back and wait for the best to answer you. Just don't pay attention to the rest of the rif-raf.

Just remember, there are some that won't ever ask questions. Those are the ones that THINK they know it all...

Clint the reason i asked about where you train is in your first post you said you had heard from a lot of trainers and you had worked a few really good dogs, most were black and tans?? So i was just curious where you trained, what kind of training you do? What do you mean by " most were black and tans"?  The puppies are really cute, is this your second "oops" mating from mother and son? As i notice you had posted on the Rottweiler board about the litter of 9 puppies you had already "given away" to friends and family. These trainers you work with is there none of them that can advise you? Is it just a new training club that has started as i am from the UK too and like to here how new clubs are doing. .
