Here are a couple of pics of Anubis at 13 and 1/2 months now.   He's starting to look more and more like Mambo.  I would have ....tried....to get a stacking picture, but I was by myself and I'm not very good at it.   Some of you who have Czech dogs may be able to answer this.  How long does it typically take them to fully widen out and gain the muscle mass that he will get....or mature in other words...  I was told Mambo is 26 at the shoulders, and 82 lbs.  Anubis is 26 at the shoulders and in the mid 50s, though he's a little on the lanky side.  I had someone who was going to try to take pictures during protection training recently, but stupid me forgot to charge the battery.....

Anyway what do you think?

Handsome boy!! I named a pup from the breeding of my male Anubis.lol He was a little punk!! The name fit him.
Give your boy a few more years. They don't usualy fill out till 3 yrs. My male went through some ugly phases.Wasn't too happy with his looks at some times. lol He has gone though coat color changes too. (seasonal)
A few pics of mine so you can see.He is out of Congo Vikar.

GSDguy08,

Wow, Anubis is gorgeous and shall be even better looking when fully grown.

Lavk9, Dar is a beauty, his topline and croup are super, envy you how well stalked he is in the picture, very difficult for me to stalk a dog, none of them listens to me, think they don't care much about stalking for a camera.

Thanks Ibrahim. I think GSDguys dog Anubis will most deffinetly fill out and be a super dog! I would like to see him stacked Also I can see him getting darker.

I have taught Dar( and all the dogs I have had) to stack and stand stay so I can take pics. I don't always have someone to take pics for me.I also taught the showline dog I had to stack him self and to gait on command instead of having someone call him on the outside of the ring. The German handler loved that he was trained that way.

Dar looks awesome, I assume the picture below his stack is him also.   My male Husky was somewhat wide when he was around two, and now at 3, with our 6-10 mile run/walk every morning he has built a lot of muscle.  I'm curious though,  do the females take as long to mature.....I don't have one yet, I've decided to wait a while to get one.

GSDguy....Thanks,Yes that is Dar in both bottom pics. The one on top is one of his sons. I had a female and to me she was more mature at a younger age then Dar. I am not sure if that is the blood lines or females mature quicker. I had another female long before the last one and she wasn't all that mature....again could be cause the bloodlines. If you run your GSD like you do the Husky he is going to fill out and look real nice when he is 3.

Another of Dars sons. I bred Dar with a west german female. Great pups come from it.I would have liked him to have darker eyes though.Artimus was goofy.I sold him to my lawyer and he would play leap frog with frogs in their yard.I didn't believe them till I was over there and saw it for my self.He would stomp in the ground to make them hope and then bound along behind them chasing them. It was quite a funny thing to watch.

Pharaoh certainly went through some gawly awkward stages....kind of boney maroney with light eyes and pink antenna ears!

Here he is at five months:
