I was searching my dog's pedigree and found this dog buried in it somewhere, and can't remember how I found him. I was struck by how much he looks like my dog, to me anyway!  Can anyone tell me anything about this dog? What does the German say, translation please? Also this dog is linebred on VA1 SGR, CH. (US) Odin vom Stolzenfels.  Does the US mean that these lines are probably in the US, still to this day?

The US means that he is an AKC champion, iow, he won enough points in AKC shows to be a champion.

Jesus Christ!! That dog was born in 1946!!! The German is from his breed survey report. The only part I understand is medium size, medium strenght, and I think a remark about a large head. :-) He has Busecker Schloss a couple generations back (into WW2 and the Reich?). That is an old, old working line kennel from before the Big Split. I also noticed what appears to be a reference to this being a DDR (East German).

Bonitation: 5546 + V. DDR - Winner 1952

Medium mittelkräftiger male with strong head
and good expression. His upper line shows good flow, the
in good state when trotting back should be even tighter. He
has a good angle of the front and rear, and shows free, space -
creative and resilient channels. Missing on one side below
P 1 and 2 In essence safely with good sharpness and hardness.
