Whatever happened to being able to ship two puppies in one crate internationaly?  A friend of mine was told that he had to get two seperate kennels for two eight week old pups.  Anyone knows anything about this?

Cheers

If they're from "different" litters....they will use seperate crates.....don't know if they changed it for all puppies....

They are actually from the same litter

Hi

A breeder friend of mine mentioned this to me as a possibility, he said it has been done before.

That was the first time I had heard of it, but I did not need to try it.

I imported 2 pups that flew from Frankfurt to LAX last March 09.  They rode in the same crate (between series 300 and 400 size).  They had food on top, a water bucket on the door, too young for rabies (they were 9 weeks old) No problem......they were siblings, and that was Lufthansa.      Good luck!

Hmmm this is the first I heard of this too. I imported one in November and had thought about getting two, and the breeder was going to ship in the same crate if I got littermates, but the second pup I was thinking about was a month older and he said he couldn't ship in the same crate.
We also used Lufthansa.

Last year was still possible, but only if the pups were littermates and under 10 weeks of age, don't know about this year.

I was told if the puppy weighs more then 20lbs that it had to be shipped by itself.
