I had heard about this thread so I thought I would respond with updated information. Hannes is at my kennel and will be available to outside females. He is a wonderful boy and I am very fortunate to have him.

I asked about using Hannes from Hiddenhaus couple years ago. I'm sorry, "nice" people and people who want to improve the breed will at least consider breeding to outside titled bitches. These people are the same as some others that won't breed outside.
Besides that, Suzanne owns the dog now and I had the chance to meet and work him a couple weeks back. He is a dog that has a strong presence about him. In protection, he works more in prey but has a serious side. He has good power and is convincing.
He has quite a few titled progeny but only found one video on one of them. If anyone can find some more, please share

Danny J, nice people often feel concerned about breeding to outside females. For one thing, the stud owner may feel tha the has to have at least one escape proof kennel for the visiting bitchs, one of which may someday be an escape artist. Heavy duty chainlink, cement floor, covered top, and be careful with the fastening of the gate. Kind of expensive. I'm building one in my garage, so that if the visiting bitch does escape (my greatest fear), she is contained. Then there are the issues of dealing with people, whose bitches might not take, for whatever reason....bitches don't take fairly often--her body needs a rest, she is getting old, the timing on the breeding wasn't good. Also, visiting bitches set off the stud owners' own females, they start posturing for position again in the pack, not realizing that this visiting female, who has no physical contact with them, is not staying. Breeding to outside females is a lot of trouble for not much money.

AK V,
All those are good points, but I did say "consider". Meaning stud owner always has the right to say no, but there are things like A.I. and that to consider as well.
