Just a thought why would you want any dog that is "extreme" Obviously that is the new "key" word. It kinda makes me think of words like "Real Dog" which also makes me giggle. Just wondered about what anyone else thought about some of these advertisements for sale?.

I hate buzzwords.  Corporations have a way of creating them to achieve goals, now individuals are jumping in.  I cringe.

I think someone who considers themself to be "Extreme", meaning, not conventional and/or boring will like the idea of a dog with the same "personality" and the advertising is aiming to appeal to that aspect. Not that it makes it true, as I think some of these "Extreme" types often do not think with their brains, but like to chase the adrenaline rush one gets when taking big risks.

One way to scare away the novice, too? Food for thought.

Hi Bob,
I must agree I get tickled at some of the ads and claims they make.
It's salesmanship at its worst.
Ya gotta have the hook tho.
Some just make poorer choices than others.

To me it sounds like another way of saying a dog is "aggressive" and made that way by an irresponsible owner who then wants to dump it on someone else. That way the buyer can't turn around and say they did not get what they were expecting because the dog tore the family cat to shreds and then went after the kids!

Bob,
Aren't you taking this to the "extreme"?
Just kidding, I couldn't help it!
Great post actually!
I am getting really sick of all the wackos out there that really do not understand this breed. What a shame that these dogs and their reputation are being ruined by these people!
Keep it "real"
