The ASPCA has an online community, one of the groups is called German Shepherd lovers. Here it is all about shepherds no Politics. This group really is about the GSD's and the people who love them. I just wanted to let anyony know about this group incase you might be interested.

This is too good to be true.. Wanna bet it won't take long before it is corrupted with politics. Sad to say, but it will happen. I hope not, but lets just wait and see..

Thanks for the info on this site! Lets try to keep this one for benefit of the breed and the information we can all share with each other!!!

The National ASPCA is nothing but politics of a particular sort. Mandatory spay/neuter etc ad nauseum. They are an advocacy group. My local branch saves animals. Never confuse the two.

This board has no politics as far as I am concerned. I just don't open the threads. I am not interested. Not opening the thread does two things, it spares me the annoyance and I don't run up the page views on those threads.

All is takes is a little bit of discipline.

It is simply a chat group there are people that are with that group that yes have rescued GSD but there are also people who got theirs from breeds and there are also breeders them selfs that are in the group. Any real dog owner or breeder should be against puppy mills and those who mistreat there dogs. And yes I am a member of PETA as well as the ASPCA and USHA and run a privit rescue out of my home, But I also own and breed quality GSD's. I don't agree 100% with ASPCA or the USHA but they do a lot of good and save a lot of lives including many GSD's who have landed in bad homes with bad owners.

The ASPCA group is just a group of people who own a GSD or just love the breed.

These people like to take about their dogs, learn about other GSD, Share their joys of being a GSD owner, look for advise GSD ownership and to help other who may be looking to get a GSD.

It is not a group of people saying that you can't breed or you can only own a rescue GSD. These people simply LOVE the breed.

I am a GSD lover and I injoy talking with others who love the breed.
