Advice Please - Page 1

Maybe somebody can shed some light one what I can do. I am sick of breeders out for themselves and being untruthful.
I bought a dog from a breeder and turns out the dog was just a good couch potato even after sending it to a dog trainer that trains in Schutzhund and he laughed when I told him the breeder,and turned out to have a bad hip. So per her contract she replaced the dog from another breeder who just used her stud. So I send back all of this first dogs paperwork like was stated and waited for the new puppies paperwork. She said she mailed it out I never got it. So I contacted and contacted this other breeder who kept saying she was going to send it out. Plus the first breeder said she has been trying to contact her as well. Any ways finally I thought this dog is the same as the other dog there is not hope for being nothing more then a couch potato so why should I breed a dog or want to breed a dog like that any ways, so I told breeders I didnt need her papers wasn't looking like I was going to get them anyways! But then I thought regardless I should still have her papers whether she is going to be spayed or not she is my dog ect.. So the breeder of the new pup called me just pissed off as hell about the first breeder with the dog with bad hip from. Then again I dont care I know all about first breeder and didn't suprise me. So then I told 2nd breeder I could care less all I WANT IS MY DOGS PAPERS!! I mean come on hello how hard can the be send me duplicates. Any ways finally 2nd breeder would not respond when I talked about dogs papers so I contacted first breeder and she as usual not helpful so I said what I needed to what 2nd breeder vented to me about 1st breeder so I would get 2nd breeders attention sure enought text from 2nd breeder telling me to grow up I said all I want are my dogs papers thats it and this was the only way to get your attention so thats why I did it. I could care less about anything all i want are my dogs papers she a year old. So she said that she has to go into storage and find the papers I said actually no you dont I just got off the phone with the AKC I have all the dogs numbers just call and ask for dupicates and its that easy. She started calling me names and threating me that I better stop or else. I said you are the one making this hard I didn't do anything I want my dogs papers thats it. So she kept calling me names saying she needed to go into storage for information and I called the AKC again and they yet said again all she needs to do is call us its that easy so I txt her the AKC number and the numbers of the dogs she needed and still she said well Im not paying for it ect... so I sent her duplicates on Mon with stamps and return mailing addresses.  I just can't believe this. I should have never had to do this. So if she doesnt get these to me I will be happy to go down to small claims court as the nice lady from their Attorney General sent me information on how to start a small claims and I also contacted the Better Business Buerau and they said to do a complaint which I am going to do if my papers are not sent to me soon, this would stay on her record for life!! This dog is a year and still no papers... Plus the name calling and threating and I have all the text messages and e-mails to prove it.  There are some breeders out there who well just should never be in the dog world business because they are liars. You know its bad when you are dealing with two breeders who have worked with eachother and the one calls you to complain about the other one.....

By any chance  is this breeder in TX? Sorry you had to go through such an ordeal!! It is sad that there are a lot of breeders out there that have to pull crap like this. I too have been screwed over.Not by one that I bought a dog from but one that I raised one for.There are very few select breeders that I know that I will deal with. If I were you I would proceed to take them to court.That way holefully someone else won't have the same thing happen. Best of luck to you!!

Wow I feel for you. You are right though there are some breeders who just simply should be breeders. Sorry though I do not have any advise for you it sounds like you have covered all the basis you can. I know in Canada if you have a bill of sale for the dog and don't receive the paperes in 6 months you can have CKC take action, they can only do so much though. Akc could be way different. I don't know anything about them.
