Scammers, Crooks, & Thieves!!!!! - Page 1

Everyday when I check this forum there seems to be at least one new or updated issue concering "Scammers, Crooks, & Theives".   I would be afraid to buy a dog or pup from anybody here, sight unseen.  So I came up with my purchasing criteria list based on my short time of being here.

TUFFSCUFFLE'S 2010 RULES FOR DOG BUYING

1 ONLY Face-to-face - Both parents MUST be present (if AI, take some sperm [this will be explained later]) can't do this LEAVE the puppy (obvious Scammer, Crook, or Theif)
2. After Pick is made: Go immediately to vet's office. Demand fresh set x-rays are taken, and read (of course breeder says can't be done) Did you know they can? Just not certified! Hey SCAMMERS wecan flush you out, even if it is a bluf.!
3 Examine all health records,while xrays are being done.
4 Get DNA test (Scammers, Crooks, Theives really sweat here).By the way, I must be present while the blood is drawn from both Sire and Dam (or Sperm Sample referenced above if Sire not present) for the DNA test see I don't won't to be  scammed.  Since this may take several days I would insist that the seller put me up in a nice hotel of my choice (cost of pup/dog should cover that, right?
5. Go to the bank with the dog (don't want to take a chance of an old switch-a-roo while out of my presence, make the curerreny exchange (the seller may be a counter-fitter) You never know - ya'll are descibing some bad dudes!!!!
6.Then get a 5 year health guarantee (underwritten by Lloyds of London). The 5 year guarantee is long enough in time to complete that the dog will by a champion sport, show, police, service, CGC, pet or whatever I desire for it to be and also include fertility if a female min. 8 pups per litter and no c-sections (what the heck, include being able the pass the college entrance exam).  By all means since the "Scammers, Crooks, and Theives" say, "every pup in the litter is good as any other", how many time have we heard this? Or, "the only reason I'm selling this dog is I have so many I don't have time to work her/him?" Oh really! Well keep this one and sell me this other one for the same price! You will hear every excuse under the sun. So make sure the 5 yr. guarantee applies to them all.

This was written with humor but as with all humor there is some seriousness.  For all of us this year will be tough as our expenses will continue to go up but the money our customers have to spend will go down. Be wise with your resourses and reasonable with your products......when times get hard the "SCAMMERS, CROOKS, and THEIVES" come out.

Glad you threw in the part about the humor since none of these rules make much sense.  Here's a good rule...get to know your breeder and research his/her accomplishments and bloodlines.

Is a counter-fitter someone who installs kitchens?

 I personally liked "wecan flush," which I'm pretty sure is a two-seater.

Trust me we are on the same page. I only desire responsible breeders selling quality pups or young adult dogs for a reasonable price. 

But really both of you had great responses - keep the coming, I needed the laugh.

You are thinking of more you would like to have said right now.  But, you painted yourself into the proverbial corner with your conclusive statement.

i am glad you find this so funny, but hay i am  one of many  that got screwed, by this Lilla.
my experience is always go and see the dog/puppy you want to buy.

And the other thing I know is that Bea is right. Never buy a puppy you didn't go see in person, and never buy a puppy whose parents you haven't seen work...oh yeah, and never send your bitch anywhere to be bred.

My point exactly. Yet the ones beating up on these "Scammers, Crooks, and Thieves" give those of us no reason as to send our hard earned money to them.

Sorry no one here can see the farce that we are to trust others when they offer no different solution than the "Scammers, Crooks, and Thieves". 

I too, have a two dogs now that I could not get restitution for. One by Bastin Vom Korkental, when Gary looked at her as an 18 month old at a trial all he callously said was, "that's no Bastin puppy." You think the breeder made the deal right? No way, she is now an expensive spayed pet due to a lack of nerve.  Got a four month old grandson of Gene England's Eddy (not Gene's fault), looked great at 8 weeks.  Now badly cow hocked can't get breeder to work with me. Hopefully he will stregthen and correct?

Just getting skeptical.  And a whole lot pissed off at the current dog trading system.  Where are the ethics? 

So what I wrote about "Scammers, Crooks, and Thieves" was to never make sense.  Only show the senselessness I currently see and don't see improving unless the ethics improve.

I apologize for the offenses as I consider ya'll my friends even you Vom.

We raise the greatest breed known to man.  If only man could measure up.
