Sammybaba.   The poor dog is in shocking condition that is obvious there is more wrong than just being not in coat,  you can see he has a skin disorder so to make any comment on anything other than his condition would be very unfair to the dog at this point. He needs to see a vet  IMO.

My first question is why in the hell did someone shave this dog?  Is this some kind of fashion statement?  If he has mange, why take the photo until he has regained his coat?

This fellow looks to be a large dog of medium bone, very straight in the shoulder and forearm.  He is long in the thigh and does not give the impression of balance.  He looks to be rather roach backed with long croup and low tail set.  He has no depth of chest & therefore no proper tuck.  His head looks nice, fair expression but I can't tell about his earset, they look wide.  The pigment on his face and that tuft of tail would indicate good color but the shaved body appears to have poor pigment.  He is lacking in bone but his feet and pasterns are good.  I would like to see him in a proper stack with a decent coat on him.  I am no expert but based on this photo I would not breed this dog.  I'm am sure he would make an excellent pet for someone.

And unless he has an underlying health problem that forced him to be shaved...I would horsewhip the person responsible for his appearance. JMHO.

I do not think he has been shaved, he is just in very poor condition with an added skin disorder that could have been caused by various things. He would look much different if he were in a natural standing position and with a healthy coat !. It will take a while to achieve , you will see a difference in the dog then. I would get some vet treatment ASAP !.

You can see that he has been shaved if you look at the tip of his tail.

Obviously shaved.  My first question would be why he was shaved.  And why take a picture trying to sell an animal that has been completely shaved.

Why ask the question?  None of us knows the "background story" on this dog and why he appears to have been shaved.

Dear heavens...

I know some people who shave their dogs in the summer, thinking they are doing them a favour, by helping them cool off.
Most parts of India get extremely hot in the summer, so that could be another reason for the dog being shaved.

I agree with everything DebiSue says about him, though. He is NOT a good specimen of a GSD.  His conformation would look a little better if he were in a proper stack instead of a bridged stack, but that still would not hide his very upright front.

He is probably a long coat and he has definitely been shaved.  There is no way this dog shaved or not shaved in my opinion is even CLOSE to 'show quality".

The picture of this dog is bad, the coat does look shaved.
SAMMYBABA, i am also very interested in why you just joined this forum today, started this thread in bold blue print with the name of the breeder/owner and the name of the sire. Also i see you have already posted pictures of the dog in the USER COMMENTS section with comments in your own language. You have also,  in your own languge, commented on two other dogs, one of which is the sire of the above dog.  I think you may have more of a problem with the owner/breeder of this poor looking dog than you actually have with the dog itself. In otherwards you started this thread hoping to cause some insult, problem or trouble for the breeder/owner.
