DebiSue, i think  i said the same thing, just a little nicer!  LOL

And, how does anyone know that I haven't experienced predicaments comparable to those of Shelley?

Frankly, I have been through some damnably hard times and have chosen not to share those unfortunate (but humiliating, nevertheless) experiences on the internet.

My life does read not like a soap opera or melodrama--nor, will it. While I may have joined FB, I do not share intimate details of my private life there.

Variations in societal mores/norms and in degrees of personal inhibition may dictate what constitutes propriety. IOW,  while I may comfortably disrobe in the presence of a close friend, I refrain from answering the front door in the nude.

End of subject.....

Because had you been in virtually the same situation I believe you would be a little more humble, a little more encouraging and a whole lot nicer than to berate someone for not handling it the same as you would.  So, no, I don't believe you have ever been in exactly the same situation.  You do not convince me, not one little bit!

Personally, I prefer the tactic of keeping it all out in the open. Then nobody has to wonder about the skeletons in your closet. Got any, Louise?

I was going to let you know Shelley made it to Nashville but I guess you already know.

Thats all I have to say about that.

...anything posted publically becomes fodder for fair public comment - one way or the other.

Why make the trip in the dead of winter? Just curious. I have nothing against Shelley personally, just some things she does (and airs publicly) make one go hmm...

I as a Guy can really imagine what Shelley is going through right now, Alone in the middle of Winter with a Motor which is not reliable, and remember she is defenseless again anyone i know her Dogs will protect her to a degree but she is one gutsy Girl for doing what she has done, She needs people on here to help lift her Spirits Louise not break her down more than she is now  when she is already at low ebb and i guess she will be a frightened Lady now ,
I wished that i lived over there i would take her to where she wants to get  to myself,
There  must be some of you Guys living along the Route she is going and can meet her and to keep her company for a few hours to lift her if that was to happen it would certainly help her immensely Just a day of your time is all that is needed
If not give her your Phone Number so if she is reasonably close and needs help she will know she will get it, Not much to ask of anyone
But the thing which impressed me most of all about this is that Shelley could easily have given up her Dogs to make it easier for her to get to where she wants to go and looked after herself, But she did not she is carrying four or five other lives along with her in the shape of her beloved Dogs that says to me she is a caring person and to hell with the I would not do this or that in my book she is a brave and honourable Lady who needs our help not only  for herself but the Dogs with her
That jerk of a husband does not know what he has lost
