WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama calls the climate agreement reached in Copenhagen a breakthrough for action, but says more must be done to actually achieve significant reductions in global warming pollution.

"This breakthrough lays the foundation for international action in the years to come," said Obama on Saturday, only hours after he returned from Copenhagen were he brokered the deal.

Obama said "we will have to build on the momentum" and get Congress to pass mandatory cuts in greenhouse gases.

The international agreement reached in Copenhagen provides billions of dollars in climate aid to poor nations and gets China to be more open on its climate-related actions. But it does not require specific cuts in greenhouse gases.

this is wealth redistribution bullshit.........

What's $100 billion more to buy a few palaces for their socialist dictator friends? We'll just keep those printing presses churning, and make every dollar you worked for worth that much less.

The only good thing about this is it will take down the Obama Presidency. Americans generally dislike public foreign aid (as opposed to charity) but when the economy is strong it doesn't get them upset. With the US plowing deeply into debt and people out of work, the promise to send billions of dollars to the third world is the end of his Presidency .

Obama will not have to have any treaty ratified!  The epa has already stolen the power  to enact these illegal treaties! Just the past week or two the epa officially labeled co2 a dangerous and deadly gas. Therby allowing the regulation of it without any treaty ratification! Copenhagen was jus a reshuffling of wealth. ours going all over the world.America get eady to be a third world nation!  get mor dogs to pull your sleds!

Oh my did you overlook the cost of the three night stay by the staff and their spouses for this usless meeting...? Top hotel, with rented  Mercedes Benz  Limos to haul them and some didnt even go to the meetings...who paid for this...?

 And my ss got cut WHY?    for whose benefit.?  Our Vets got their pensions cut  WHY?  For whose benefit??

Yes and people in wisconsin are still waiting for their unemployment checks to be sent to them for the past 3 to 4 weeks! wisconsin say they will be processed in the next 4-5 weeks!
