Gene won the 1982 North American Championship, the 1983 Schutzhund III Tournament, the 1984 & 1991 FH Championship, as well as the 1990 World Qualifier. One of the highlights in his competition was finishing first place in the 1992 International World Championship in Tengen, West Germany. He also represented USA on World Teams. In addition, Gene has worked with many of the top dog/handler teams in the country.
Gene is recognized as an expert in tracking & protection training. His innovations and techniques in this phase are currently used worldwide by many of the top teams today.
In keeping with his philosophy of teaching, Gene has agreed to do a protection table training seminar to teach training helpers and handlers, the use of the tables to benefit their training programs.

Debbie has represented USA on 5 WUSV Teams as well as qualifying for numerous FCI Teams.
She and Escobar v Adelrik are the 2006 WUSV Vice World Champions. She has won the FH National Championship as well as scoring a perfect 100 on an FH 2 track.

I have trained with Debbie several times.  My K9 is a son of her former competition dog, Dante Traho.  Debbie did a seminar for me in March.  She is one of the greates obedience and tracking coaches / trainers that I have ever seen.  I would highly, highly recommend going to a seminar with her for anyone owning a dog.  Not just for anyone who wants to compete with a dog.  I have been to lots of great seminars over the years, my two favorites are Debbie and Bernhard Flinks.  Don't miss this seminar!  I drove 8 hours in Sept for the Gene / Debbie Seminar it was outstanding.

Wish all of you could come to Texas...From What I have been told by  a friend of his,,there is not other in  Tables and how to handle tough dogs. He can read YOU and the DOG...Part of what he tries to get over to you.. I am hoping to get to visit with Gene, and hopefully  my  partner and Mahon both will be able , along with a few other Texas friends , gather a wealth of knowledge...Excitement yes...

I have read a lot about  Debbie in my Schutzhund magazine and have several article sitting right here...Pics of her in some of the trials makes meeting her a joy.

One thing about making sure you get the Schutzhund magazines, is   if not able to travel, at least you know who is who and read some articles these same people write..

Hope to see some of you.....   Can't  wait to  finally   see  Gene England in the FLESH....Have spoken to him on phone several times..

Both Debbie Zappia and Gene England are outstanding trainers and have my respect but remember that not all dogs can stand up to some of Gene's methods.  Be honest about what your dog can and cant do and dont force them just because you want to get a 99 or a 100 and the dog is a middle 80s point level dog or something.  The seminar should be great and I wish I was going!

Terri, One thing I seen with Gene, is he can read your dog and tell you what he is capable of doing, like if he is a 80's dog or 90's, that is one thing he will stress, know what your dog is capable of doing, and accept it.

Please post some video for us to watch two
