LukasGS

We have made a lot of progress since I've last been on here. Especially in obediance. He has also grown quite a bit as he nears his 1 year mark. This is our best stack to date with just two of us. I wanted opinions on how I stacked him, and how he looks also.

Two things botther me.  His ears are back and his feet aren't visible in the grass.

Thanks,
Kelli

Kelli,
He looks to be a medium built, well boned dog.  I can't tell just how big he is.  Nice back, croup a little steep, good tail set.  Pasterns are good, feet appear to be tight.  His forearm looks short, shoulder straight.  A little long in the thigh maybe, but not overly angulated, appears well balanced.  He has a nice head, neck & throat.  I can tell his ears are up, not sure if they are as wide set as the appear in the avitar.  His color is good but his coat looks rough and thin in places.  I would prefer a deeper chest, he looks a bit leggy.  He looks like he needs some conditioning and may fill out some more as he matures.  Overall, nice dog.  The stack is pretty good, his back foot needs to be more vertical and his other hind foot maybe a smidge more forward.  Hope you are enjoying him.  Good to hear progress is being made in obedience.

Thanks DebiSue. He does have a pretty sparse coat as it is, anything past his ribcage was affected by mange so he looks a bit scraggly from that as it continues to show up and disapear I'm going to take a wild guess and say he has some an allergy to something, it's gotten better though, I need to get some fish oil for him... And I've thought his ears are pretty wide set, but I do not know much about conformation, so I wanted to see how good or bad he really was, lol. Here is a frontal shot and another of him just focusing. :).

He has large ears!  I hope he continues to grow into them, they set nicely on his head.  Nice dark eyes, love the focus.  I hope you can figure out what is causing his mange...is it red mange?  Search the site under Red Mange and you'll find lots of helpful information.  Keep us posted on his progress both with the obedience and his allergies.  Above all else, continue to love him.

I'm no expert at conformation, but he looks proportional to me..Like the black color, too.

I don't keep up with this forum, but just happened to pop on.  :o)  His front & rear angulation is "okay" for a working dog, although he could use a little more to be correct.  Topline is decent, although croup is pretty steep, which may be what's making him look somewhat roached in the loin (he just doesn't look comfortable or casual, looks a bit like he's crouching).  Tailset is great.  Tail length is great.  Nice dark eyes.  Bone is too fine, he looks like a female, and his head is also bitchy too.  Nice earset.  Looks like his front might be a bit easty-westy.  He definitely needs plenty more chest, both depth and prosternum... He's very shallow chested, which makes him look extremely leggy.  Overall he just doesn't have enough bone, substance, chest, or head to give a male appearance.  Don't know what your plans are for him, but I would not place him in the "breeding prospect" category from looks, although a couple more years of maturing could do some good.  I've had my share of awkward teenage boy dogs!  LOL  The stack form itself is pretty good.  :o)

Here's my black boy Ozzy after turning 2-years-old.  Just a comparison for fun.  Of course he's not perfect either.  *grin*

DebiSue,    It is Red Mange. He's had two shots of ivermectin, both have helped a great amount, it hasn't been as bad since then.

Kerstone ,  I definately don't plan on breeding him. He's had too many skin problems aside from not being the best speciman in the first place. Definately still has his baby face too. He's just my companion boy, Obediance, Tracking maybe SAR as he likes to use his nose, to keep him occupied but that is about all until I can get another puppy next year to begin some schutzhund.

Here he is just standing being his regular ol' self. Which doesn't seem to flatter him any better. Lol. He's more than I could have asked for personality wise anyways. :) Still love him to death.
