What I've seen of sables you can count on one thing and that is they will constantly be changing colors. Usually from light to dark. I've seen some very light pups end up very dark. Your best bet would be to look at the parents to get an idea of just how dark this pup will get.

From my experience and the way I understand it is a sable doesn't get its final color until almost maturity. So your pup may change colors many many times.
