Any information on the latest meeting of VDH whereby it has been decided that slope backs are to be done aways with by mid 2010?

the VDH will never ever discuss what needs to be changed in the GSD structure. It is not their responsibility. If there are such changes implemented, it would be the SV, nobody else!!!
And what is really funny is that you use as an example an American showline bred GSD. As the name says, the VDH is a pure German organization whose responsiblity ceases to exist outside the country.
And what is it you are complaining about? A back can still be straight (as opposed to curved, banana or roach back - or whatever one wants to call it), even when sloping!

U guys mean to say all those wonderful gating/trotting GSD,s in those various shows, who'd made the GSD the most popular breed, could within a couple of months from now euthanised or thrown out-of breeding program? I don't think even climate-change talks could change that. If the VDH decides that, i'll rather choose to be like "Iran" and the "North korea" to the I.A.E.A.
