Its always nice to be thought of,
thanks.
If I could choose to be any other earthly creature it would be an Eagle.
My dogs would understand.

I'd guess that's a Golden in the 1st picture.. amazing that the rider can hold up 30+ lbs of bird while riding!! A friend of mine used to Hang glide with his Red Tail (Altair) and did a video of the bird from the glider that would blow your mind, you can even see the flight feathers flexing in the wind currents! He went on to fly with an Andean Condor on Peru, and did Nature programs thru the Audubon with Vedor his American Condor. John McNeely... not sure if he has anything on Youtube or not.

I used to have vivid dreams of flying, but I always fell sooner or later....
Its hard to have a really good dream anymore....

Goss Hawk huh? Hit one of those in my truck this summer. Boy did he make a mess of my truck and front trailer. Poor guy got hung up on my DS mirror and hung there till I slowed down, bleeding all over the damn place. I kept saying no, no, no, don't die but he was already gone. Mood wrecker for sure.

LOL...
Definate buzz kill.
I lost a windshield to a Turkey Buzzard a few years back, my son thought it was gonna take him out on the passenger side.
Over a road kill no less, zigged when he should have zagged.
I was so mad I backed up to finish him off.

LOL, now that's funny. No shortage of buzzards around here. Not sure what was with this hawk I hit. He came up over the DS top of me, swooped down by my bumper, where I thought I was gonna nail him, then he zigged back up and out but he just clipped the corner of my windshield and sun visor. Slid off of that in the wind and got tangled in the mirror. I could have rolled down the window and grabbed him. I was affraid he might be pissed and bite me. Also those tallons look awefully sharp and big hanging right there, next to me head. He was flopping in the wind/looked alive until I slowed down and he fell off.
I called the guy I was working with, who was coming back the other way and he stopped to pick him up. We both collect feathers. We took him to the field we were hauling rice out of and fed to him to Yotes. The circle of life I guess.
