Here are some of mine.

This is about half the dogs I've rescued since summer. Anybody else have any? I get into GSDs and Catahoulas.

Vom Marschial, you put most of us to shame! Wow! A big 'thank you' for your efforts!

My first rescue was a one-eyed mutt (looked to be part dalmatian). I saved him from euthanasia by about 30 seconds. The vet already had the needle laid out on the table when I called. I couldn't keep him, but I did find him a very good home.

My first three GSD's were all rescues. I wish I'd taken a picture of the first one the day I adopted her. She was a female GSD, 5 years old, 26 inches tall, and weighed 35 lbs!  Here she is after a couple of years of good food and TLC

Next, was Tasha, a 9 month old stray someone dumped on the streets of Scarbourough, Ontario. My (then) room mate and long-time friend, Sharon, lured her into her car, and brought her home, and I've often told her it was the best gift she ever gave me.  This picture was taken on my first wedding anniversary, in Fergus, Ontario. OF COURSE, the dog had to come along...neither I nor my husband would have thought of leaving her at home!

My current rescue, Ranger, who became my service dog. I promised him he'd never see a chain again. His former owner's parting advice to me was, "If he ever gives you any trouble, just show him a shovel!"

I've lost count of the dogs I've rescued but here are a few GSD's I've found forever homes for in the past few years...

Very few GSD's that need rescuing where I am, (if there were I would!) so I've rescued different sorts of critters.  I know it is not the same, but both lost their moms and would have died had I not found them.

This pic was taken at night and my battery wasn't fully charged. Found kitten at about 3 wks old.  They got along great!
Cute watching them play.

And these are some of the dogs from the humane society who had been deemed 'unadoptable'  before I worked with them (they all found homes as well)...

You guys and gals are all heroes!

Nothing heroic about it...just doing our part.

These are two dogs I've pulled from the Ionia County Animal Shelter who's transport and rescue was arranged by a very generous individual I am happy to pull dogs for.  Because of my situation (rented housing, limited space, city limits on animals) I am not able to foster dogs but I am happy to pull them and then we take them to a certain animal hospital for vet care and they are boarded at the hospital until their transport/foster arrangements are made.  Not ideal but better to spend a few nights at the hospital than be euthanized for lack of space/funds.  Both of these dogs now have wonderful homes.  The black one is now competing and titled in agility.  All the credit for their treatment and rehab goes to their foster homes and the generous individual who arranged for me to pull them.

Picking Mandy up.  She was positive for whip worms.

Mandy ready for her new home after she had spent considerable time with a foster being rehabbed medically and behaviorally. (photo credit K. Nally)

Greta being transported (no current pics but she was not noticably unhealthy so she probably looks the same)
