Are the Breeders finding that the way the Economy is worldwide, are puppies selling here and abroad? Are you getting the price that you are asking or have you had to drop the price? Are you holding off with breeding in order to sell what you have?
Do you think that the Large Breeders are still getting the price advertised?
I have noticed that some Breeders have actually had to close up shop because of this.

I doubt anyone will be straight up on this. I'm one of those on the other end. I'm not a breeder! Don't even own a dog. Been looking for 1 1/2 years off and on. Been looking for something to make a house dog and protection out of. Can't count how many times just a few hundred dollars kept me from being a happy man. Have a feeling once the dollar goes to nothing things will change alot more for everyone. I'm just your average JOE looking and thinking about the future.

The economy is bad everywhere, but it still shocked me to find out that Leerburg no longer breeds and Cimmerian closed down!  Both are from the hard hit state of Michigan.  Still, it shocked me because they were breeding some great bloodlines and very renowned.  Leerburg still sells training equipment and is a great site for information, but no longer breeding. Cimmerian was breeding Iltis von der Wildsau "Wolf".  I have a daugter, a grand daughter and a great grand daughter of him.  He has great progeny. He is an awesome looking black sable with cream colored circles around his eyes.

Iltis vd Wildsau "Wolf", SchH III from Germany.

Leerburg stopped breeding a few years ago. I think their's was more a personal choice, and not related to the economy.

Leerburg quit due to a divorce and subsequent alimony claims.

Eurosport hasnt slowed down, it would appear

Many pups and adults for sale, could be the quality they are putting out in working pups, not sure.

Many have tightened their belts for sure, but the economy hasnt hit everyone, yet.  But it will soon enough.

Planned demolition of the Dollar.

One has to put more thougts into breeding. Sadly enough it is more into what bloodlines you go into. If ther is not at least 2 VA's in the line , you have a hard time to sell your pups. A pitty, because all breeders see that way, so we narrow down the genetic variety.

I am still getting calls i have a breeding planed for spring have not Begin taking deposits yet will wait till new year and i have thought about prices but nobody has asked me if i have changed my price so i don't think people looking for quality pups are expecting to pay any less thats not to say the economy hasn't changed anyones mind altogether about getting a pup
