WALKING (take your dog(s) along)
Walking can add minutes to your life. This enables you at 85 years old to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $10,000 per month.
My grandpa started walking five miles a day when he was 60. Now he's 97, and we don't know where the heck he is.
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.
The only reason I would take up walking is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.
I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks. Haven't lost a pound. Apparently you have to go there.
I do have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them.
The advantage of exercising every day is so when you die, they'll say, 'Well, she looks good doesn't she.'
If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.
I know I got a lot of exercise the last few years,......just getting over the hill.
We all get heavier as we get older - because there's more information in our heads. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Every time I start thinking too much about how I look, I just find a Happy Hour and by the time I leave, I look just fine.

Hey Crys and Maggie:
Hope everyones day was as great as mine .. Dallas Cowboys beat the Raiders,,,Whipppeeeee and I got Christmas on Thanksgiving from my kids... A new Maytag Commercial washing machine...and a new key chain with german shepherds on it... As some of you know who have been here at my place , it is three acres of fenced forest..So the dogs , grand kids and all us adults went for a long trip( WALK) around my three acres...thru the trees, picking up limbs and acorns, and Walnuts.
No pecans BOOO HOOO..left them behind at my old homeplace and I sure do miss those trees this time of year.. The weather here in Texas was beautiful and crisp..SO the dogs had a high priority of tug of war and chase..here are some pics of the puppy of ABBY, that GSDtravels held only days old when she was here,,, tugging with Abby her mom on an old half Kong ball with only a tiny bit of the rope left..I is a water kong from Gander Mountain..There Kongs are orange and I sure like them that color,,easier to find if not brought back. Drakius won the tug and ended up with the Kong in his possession , THIS TIME>>>

We , all of us , are all Blessed and should be THANKFUL for the air we breathe and the ground we walk on..It is lent to us to preserve and to work and to own.
Now to the Christmas Lights , and my bad puppy, who already ran off with a string of lights..HE has his own Tree to decorate...lol
