Oki I have to bring this topic from the hole...

Cledford which sleeve you end up with, I myself am thinking of the one from fordogtrainrs.com (one with adjustable bitebite bar), but I am not surre if it's the smart choice? I used the intermediate sleev from them that gard mention and it was the best sleeve to date that I had on me, I can't say the same about gappey.

SCH babe are you still using that sleeve? What are the cons and pros, would you buy it again? Thanks.

I been using fordograiners.com for a while now and always found their product to be 100%, as well they always stand by thier product and last time I was not happy with something that I got from them they let me keep it for free and refund my money.

Thanks guys.

Snajper I can't help with regards to your question about the sleeve, but here is a link to the thread you were talking about, so people can read it then comment on the new thread if they wish:  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/194070.html#194096

The sleeve you posted a link to is a very nice sleeve but to me it has one very bad trait. The angle is very good and it has a lot of mobility  in the elbow and breathes well but the worst quality in this sleeve is that the bite surface is not thick enough IMO.
I have used it before but then i realized that a lot of dogs that normally have a very full bite where having some trouble doing this so i started watching from the side while another decoy worked this sleeve. What i learned was that the thickness at the end of the sleeve is proper but its to thin at the beginning of the sleeve. This caused some dogs to not be able to put the back teeth on the sleeve EVEN though they had a full bite. So essentially the dog was biting only with the front teeth even though they had the whole sleeve in the mouth. That was when i stopped using that sleeve. If they would make the bite surface thicker some how so that all teeth contacted the bite surface then this sleeve would really be something.
