This am my girl Jetta was in a commercial for a politician that is going to run for office (unable to say for now) it is a pretty big position. It was filmed in a house in Chicago. Amazing Animals was specifically looking for a GSD that barked on command and asked me if my girl can do that and sure enough she did an AMAZING job, I am soooooooooo proud of my girl and what she did. I had recieved many compliments on her looks, behavior and especially her training. I was a bit nervous since you don't know what to expect and she was just super.

The politician made his speech with Jetta sitiing next to him and towards the end he bent down and put his arm around her said a few more words, I gave her the command to bark and she let out 2 very nice barks. He did jump a bit after the first bark and after  several takes he was fine and Jetta loved every min of it. He said she was a very nice dog and well behaved. They also did some fliming of her by herslef doing some barking and then she had to stand, platz and then sit with out movement and she did super. She also had to lay down and cross her paws (she never crosses her paw) and she did that without a problem. The funny part for me was when the director ( during one take) said the dog did super but he (politician) had to do a bit better and also when they asked for "broom on set please" so they could sweep up her hair. It was aslo funny to hear them say "ready for the dog"

It was a great experience for me since I have never seen anything like this before and Jetta was just being Jetta, all about the work. The commercial will be aired the last 2 weeks of Jan. since the election is in Feb. We all know how many times they run these ads on TV so when you see a gorgeous GSD with a politician it is my superstar Jetta. I also was happy to see a GSD used for something like this since it will be excellent PR for the breed. I am very proud on how my girl represented her breed in a super way.

The girl that was there for Amazing Animals was very very happy with how Jetta did and said she will give the boss a glowing reveiw on Jetta's performance and also because she is so well trained they would use her again. Everyone on the set was very nice but wow it sure takes alot of people to do something like this.

Oh and the pay was really good for 30min of what Jetta had to do. She will be getting some extra balls and some raw bones for her work.

Denise

Here are some pics I took outside the house, no pics were allowed inside or with the politician because of the upcoming election.
