Raw.

I agree raw. Beef is best for adding weight anything over 20%. Never had a problem with it and no loose stools. As a matter of fact when you feed raw you actually have very little stool. I havent found anything to beat it. But if you insist on bag, then Barking at the Moon is a close second.

I have had my dogs on canidea nice shiney coats and firm stools after awhile my dogs coats looked dull and stools firm some times and others runs. sorry so graphic So about a month or so I emailed taste of wild company they sent me about 4 bags of each < i think 3 different varieties> my dogs seem to like the bison so they have been on it and coats all nice and shiney and my 19 month old  filled out nicely. He was always on thin side <very active> firm stools and not as much waste

I just recently started feeding raw after my puppy got sick (Coccidia) and wouldn't eat for FOUR days. Nothing at all. I bought a couple of different premium kibble, plus canned organic chicken. Even the stinky cheap stuff, just to try to get her to eat something...She wouldn't touch anything.  She lived off of NutriCal, Albon and Pedialyte.
I asked for advice on here and took it....I skeptically offered her raw chicken and she is absolutely thriving.
And what Bhaugh said about small stools is so true. In fact when she "goes" (always firm)  I keep thinking "that's ALL? She must have more in there!"
Good Luck!

Just a thought--if the dog can't put on weight, and stools are bad---I would check for EPI.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Yay vomRuiz!
Next stop....TURKEY! They're on sale right now, of course, mostly under a buck a pound....I got one for 50 cents a pound the other day. They are kinda cool because if you start them defrosting, you feed the stuff you cut off the outside. You gradually work your way inward as it defrosts. The whole thing stays decently fresh until it's gone!

I'll try it. I'll will go buy out as many turkeys as I can tomorrow! ;-)
