Just wanted to let you all know that everything is fine- no problems. I must say it took a while for everything to come out- I saw "evidence" for up to 4 or 5 days later LOL. For all who gave me advice and support- thanks again!

Our old mutt Buddha stole a turkey carcass once, but he didn't eat it, he took it outside & buried it....right where the wild turkeys crossed our property. The big toms would challenge him, & he would come whining back into the house, tail tucked.....interestingly, after Bud planted his turkey mojo, they stopped coming through the yard......go figure! jackie harris

Coyote just caught a chicken :" Whoopsy daisy! Chicken bones, we can not have that."
I am feeding my dogs cooked and raw chicken for decades. Hundreds of dogs. Not a one problem. Problem may happen if you freak out and chase the dog around the house to take half eaten chicken away from him and he is trying to woof it in while avoiding your clumsy maneuvers.

Prager,
I think she "inhaled" it anyway, knowing she was not supposed to be stealing anything from the garbage can. Sjhe ate it so fast that I found only a tiny bit of evidence LOL! Yes, our vet said the raw bones are not a probelm because the stomach acids readily break down and digest those...but cooked bones can be a problem. It' sgood to hear that your dogs have never had a problem. Next time (hopefully there won't be one) I won't freak out :)!
