Hopefully someone on here will be able to help find this guy's owner or at the very least give him a good home!

As an update, got a e.mail from usa, identifying the breeder, who phone # is not currently viable.
got a call from a guy who saw the post who claims it is his dog, he lost 10 days ago. He also claimed he was the breeder and tattooer of the dog. I explained to him that this dog was found 10 days ago in a emaciated state but clean, meaning it had not been out long. i wanted to give him closure that the dog was being taken care of, the pound would not give it back as time has expired. ( this is the NY state pound rules, not mine). His name did not match also the info given to me by usa, also asked for proof to be sent to me of a USA registration with his name and dog tattoo # or AkC registration ditto.
So far I have yet to get anything back.  checking with the pound in the area that he claims he lost the dog, they have no missing reports of any missing shepherd. The dog is not in the area where lost also, but many many miles away.
TO YOU READERS OUT THERE, DO NOT USE MISSING REPORTS TO TRY AND CLAIM LOST DOGS, I WILL REQIRE PROOF OF OWNERSHIP, ESPECIALLY, WHEN THE USA DATA DOES NOT MATCH.

that should be easy to verify, if the guy claims he owned the dog, I am surre he has pleany of pictures to back it up. sometimes dogs are given away by original owner to new homes without any paper work or transfer of ownership.

Please post name of breeder as reported to you from USA - then perhaps you can get correct contact info for him in time to find the owner of the dog.
