Corrections are best made on the same thread....LOL

I know your trying Juliesue....

Do you know, do you have any numbers on how many dogs are in pounds and shelters at this very moment?
You just can't and should not try to save them all.
There are just too many.
Death is not a bad thing in itself.   People have too much trouble with death in my opinion.  Its part of life and is necessary.
There are worst things than dieing, pain, fear, starvation, suffering and that I cannot abide.

Its an old and never ending argument.

MOONS, I am trying to navigate this I saw the correction thread,  where i could edit a mistake I was not aware of. If you notice I corrected it after I made the 2nd post. I do what I can, it does not happen all the time, I guess this is the season. Most time it is quiet and easy recoveries. But from where this dog is, I can image some guy who got deployed, could not get the dog a home and had no choice but to  let the dog go, thinking it would be kept by a finder. From thepound lady who called
it is just a sweet loving dog, I want to do the best I can. They will have no choice, and some just don't try.
FOOTNOTE MOONS,  I know I can't save them all, but when they are called into me and the tattoo can't be traced,It is put into my lap and I don't want to see a poor dog punished for the negligence of an owner, if I can help..

Thats the problem, the animal does pay for the owners neglect.
It always falls on the owner, yet they can walk away, the animal cannot.
I've been to shelters, I know what it feels like to turn and walk out the door knowing the reality of the situation.
Thats where I get my resolve for the responsibility of owning animals.
Its good someone can save a few, if they can face the reality of the many, and do what I consider a duty.
Nothings ever easy.

Julie,
it does not matter what breed the dogs are in the shelters. They all deserve somebody to rescue them.
However, if you navigate this site here a bit, you will find that it has discussion boards for a lot of other breeds. In this case, I would post the info on the one for Labs. For your convenience, here is the link: www.pedigreedatabase.com/dogs/labrador_retriever/forum.html
I wish the Lab the best of luck. Another option would also be to contact Lab Rescues.

I noticed something the other day on local television,
A Golden Retreiver Rescue, nothing else just Golden Retreivers.
The commercial was for a fund raiser.
Something about it just didn't set well with me.
Then I had to see that HSUS commercial (what did I do wrong), ever see it?
I'm at odds with some people's motives.

I dunno.
