With the string of luck she's been having.......I was just too worried.

Thanks for the update!

Steph may have trouble seeing, but when I emailed her, I got a message back saying she had gone hunting..

I haven't heard from her in a while, but when she logs on here again, I'm sure she'll enjoy the new pics of Oakley.  I hope the injuries she sustained a while back have made some major progress in healing.  I was stunned to learn of the accident while I was away in September.  I sure hope she's feeling better!

Hunting and acutally bagging quarry are two different things. I suspect for a life-time hunter, injured or not, the thrill of the hunt is manna from heaven. If a companion does indeed bag something, more the better! Living vacariously through our like-minded friends can be very healing in its way. Hence the popularity of interest-specific message boards! :-))))

Waytago Steph!

I wish I could be there.
Here its raining and the game is scarce.   Too many tourists on opening day, and the dogs won't let anything come in close to home, it will be a long drag unless I butcher on the spot.
Nothing can compare to Elk if thats what she's hunting.
Maybe she will have pictures !!
I'm a bit jealous and envious.

P.S.
Shelley,
I met three guys from your neck of the woods here on opening day, long way to go just to get away ...lol
I never can remember names but one mentioned owning a king shepherd and living in your area.
I didn't mention you by name.
Small world.

Hey Guys and Gals,
My girlfriend basically took me out of the house for awhile. Was getting abit depressed...Glad I went...
Sorry Moons, no elk over there, not much game at all, had blue tongue go through a few years ago...here is what I did shoot though. Glad I didn't miss it!!!!
It shouldn't have been out this time of year anyhow. This was in Eastern Montana, kinda barren over there. Just shot AT lots of pheasants and huns, at least my lab pup got to sniff some out, I couldn't bring my good pheasant dog the GSD,   girlfriend had 2 little shit dogs that she would have loved to EAT!!!...
My girlfriend did get her 2 muley does...I prefer the whitetail, so am waiting for another friend to take me this weekend and for my elk too...still can't drive, the knee is better, off the crutches, but still limping. And walking VERY CAREFULLY!!!! No change on the eye thing, just depressing that I can't see very well...
Will catch up on here in the next few days. Tons of emails to get through.
Thanks guys for checking in on me...STeph
