I decided to make lemonade out of my neighbors' continual shooting, so I dragged the girls down there to see how they'd react to gunfire up close. IMO, they did great. I hear people brag sometimes about their "fearless" dogs and how they don't even notice things like gunfire and other dangers, but if I want a dog for PP, shouldn't the dog at least be AWARE of it's surroundings and recognize a potential threat? For my purpose, I think they reacted perfectly; they acknowledged it, looked toward it, but didn't panic when they assessed that it was non-threatening. JMO.

I decided to post them instead of sending a separate email to everyone who's requested seeing Aria's clips. The quality is horrible b/c I took them with my phone. I don't remember which clip was Anza's first time and which was the second, but Aria's first was when my neighbor was petting her.

Nice videos, Jen. They do exactly like they are suposed to. Apache had his intro also. In preperation of our trial next weekend, the routines are done with shots fired. Apache reacted the same way.

I was going to call you and ask if he's the same way. I know of 2 others w/the identical reaction. I sure got lucky w/a very uniform litter as far as temperament goes. Not a bad one in the bunch!

Any new pics of Apache? Maybe a nice stack or natural stand to update his ped. picture with? ;-) I am curious to see what the 2 boys turn out like. Randy says that Strider is the "talk of the town among people who know dogs." Of course, I still haven't seen any new pics of him....men! ;-) Hopefully, he'll read this, lol.

Are you talking about Tonga's upcoming trial? Good luck!
