My dogs quick is out of her nail, some how slipped out of the nail from the bottom of the nail and the tip.  If this makes any sense to anyone.  It is not bleeding. I can feel the quick with my fingers, it is very soft.  When I mess with the quick I could tell its causing my dog discomfort.  The nail it self looks trimmed but the quick is kind of hanging from the front.  Has anyone here experienced this, what are some recommendations?

It should repair itself just fine. Just be sure to apply a bit of antibiotic salve to the area on a daily basis. I would be more concerned about the nail snagging itself on something and doing more damage. So after a couple of days pass I would carefully trim the nail until it meets the quick.

Best Regards,
