Who makes a good comfy bitesuit?  The one at our sheriff's office is at least 20 years old and is stiff and doesn't really fit anyone.  The dogs don't like it as much as the newer material either.  It looks like the snowsuit on the "christmas story "movie (the bb gun movie)  "His only defense was to lay there like a slug...."   Looking for good value for the money, and good movement.

Check this site out, there suit is real nice, not a michelin man suit but a real competitors suit. The only catch is that you need to have a experience police, ring, KNPV decoy wearing it. Non - experience person may and could get hurt wearing it. But its everything that you are asking for in your post. www.totalk-9.com

Gallais used to make the best French Ring suits available but these days the Demanet suits are probably the most popular.  Clement makes a nice one as does Guy Michel.  Training suits are much larger and have more padding than competition or semi-comp.  For police work a kimono jacket is nice because the extra armpit and chest area allows for fuller grip without so much decoy abuse.  The design of French suits allows for better movement as the decoys are extremely athletic however hands and feet/ankles are usually somewhat exposed.  Belgian Ring suits are a different material and a little stiffer than the French Linen.  Personally, I like the FR suits the best, better movement, better feel for the dog, less wear and tear on the decoy and with proper care, will last a long time.  I was at a goofy PSA seminar last year just to give my retired FR dog some work and saw a guy wearing a Gallais suit that I imported back in the early 90's.  After watching these knuckleheads run over dogs, jam them, and in some cases fall on them, I couldn't take the screaming any longer and decided to save my dogs health for another day.  Check those suits out, you can't go wrong.  I would stay away from the suits made here, they may be cheaper but the material is not as good and the cut of the suits is of lesser quality.  Don't look for the cheapest suit out there when the safety of the decoy and also the safety of the dog are at risk.

Personally, I've gotten a bite suit from Horton's Handcrafted Quality K9 Equipment.  They do a lot of custom work, and their product is top of the line.

Let me know if you want more info on them.  Otherwise, I believe their website is:  http://www.hortonsquality.com

Happy shopping!

Depends what dogs are going to bite on it. If You get light sport suit for malinois , you will be sorry if you use it on strong shepherd or Rott..
I personally like RayAllen. They have a suit with exchangable sleeves which cuts the cost.  They have many different ones. Solid American company with long good reputation. Located in Colorado.

I look at it this way, if I want to buy tools and buy the best, I look at the one's the professionals use.  If I don't care if they last or how they perform, I go to freakin' KMart and buy what's on sale.  More importantly, you are talking about your safety and the safety of the dog.  Think about this as well, most suits get re-sold somewhere down the line, you will get most of your money back from a good quality suit vs. a suit you got from a dog supply warehouse.  Look at the suits the decoys wear working the championships whether it be French Ring, NVBK or even KNPV.  They wear these suits for a reason, not just because they get a sponsorship, but because they get the best protection with the flexibility to truly test the best suit biting dogs in the world.  If the cut and the material of the suit are so stiff and bulky that you can't work a stick or an empty hand opposition, it's not much good.  Kind of  hard to work a gun when it's halfway up your sleeve.  But, if you want to look like one of the 3 Stooges when you're on the field,,,,,,,,have at it.  I hear that if you buy a suit from Ray Allen before Thanksgiving, you get a free flexi-lead and bowl of soup.
