I'd say if he can use the collar that loose, then it's more for show than use. It wouldn't do a bit of good down there.

Loose & low pinch collars are a personal pet peeve
Why even bother using it..........?

And it can actually injure the dog. If the prongs are not tight against the neck, they will pull perpendicular to, and may puncture the skin. Not very smart. On the other hand, those who are not familiar with the pinch think when it's worn properly, it's too tight.

If you look at the pic though, it doesn't appear the lead is attached to the prong collar. I guess it's possible that they added prongs and let it hang loose while it wasn't being used so it didn't interfere with the flat collar and they didn't have to carry it?

OR, the handler is a smart trainer and not actually using the prong collar yet but is putting it on his dog to get the female used to wearing it.. Or the handler is a novice and doesn't know any better..
Who knows? Right? So why judge if there are 20 different reasons why this is the way it is?

ROFLMAO!
That's not really a prong - it's a metal harness.
6 more links, and it could be a belly band.
LOL!!

Dennis- I like your attitude
Steve - I like your creativity
I don't give a rats a$$ what the reason and/or excuse is for the collar placement, it bothers me but I don't own that bitch & I'm not the one wearing the collar so why the hell should I care.... ? LOL

Leerburg suggests practicinf putting various collars on a dog and that you train with two or three on the dog.
The dog is wearing 2 collars, I have to wonder if the pinch collar is just for show and the other collar is actually being used.
