Now you see, I like that dog. To me, that is all the angulation that is necessary, the back is nice and straight, feet tight, and it's a LSC to boot. Seriously though, is this what they call the Alsatian? It kind of resembles one to me, and I'd take him over many a dog if he has the correct GSD temperament. Just my opinion...

In order to critique this dog I need you to answer another question.
Does he kick ass?

Lets say he is going on okay in that respect, He has his BH and AD, now training for ScH1.
I am one of those people who when i enter the Dog i will not happy with a passing score i want a very good Score throughout the three Phases, not just scrape through and say he has his ScH1 that is not good enough for me i have seen too many dogs and handlers do that but its not for me if so i could put him in a trial in a week or twos time and probably get that.
So come spring he should be as i want him. As for himself he may look a soft Dog, but for sure he is not.
Not you or anyone else would put there hand in the bars of his run and come out with the hand still intact, Plus you would not touch him at any time outside even on the work field if he does not know you,
He will not growl or bite he will step back a pace or two and stare at you saying do not touch, none do when he does that so i do not know what his reaction would be then. Other than that he is an intelligent Dog. Jumps like a Stag even though he is not tall and will have a go at anything, and quick to learn
Why did i put him on here just to see the reaction of the Guys of his Structure i guess, He is a Working Line Dog and for me that is what matters how he works, regards his conformation you Guys are more into it than i am so that is the reason for asking your opinions,

Other than that, I think he looks the way a German Shepherd should look. I especially like his topline.
Is he a longcoat, or is he just getting read for winter, with a heavy coat? (As I mentioned on another thread, my female grows a fringe along her belly and chest in winter, too.)

Thanks for the input, No that Dog does not figure in his Pedigree on the Paternal or the Maternal line
Here is a PIc of a head shot
Regarding Long Coat i still do not know He has a double coat, and when he was young a few Tufts around the ears which seem to be there no more, Now he is over 2.5 years old and has changed in apperance this Pic of the head shot was taken 12 months ago, again he has matured since i will take another head shot of him today to compare again to see if he looks different now, thanks to all for the input, good points or bad he is the Dog he is and he is mine until one of us goes over the hill
