This cat was found by a friend who rescues dogs. She won an award a couple of years ago for "National Rescuer of The Year". It happened near Hamilton, IL in Hancock County. Western central part of the state.
He is surviving after his surgery, but, not really able to move much right now. Antibiotics are helping keep him alive.
What a joke that a human would feel the need to do something like this.
I know this is a dog web site, but, I would think that to any animal person that this is atrocious!!!!

I saw a similar case like this on one of the Animal Cops programs on Animal Planet. Sad.
If you are going to shoot an animal, at least kill it outright. Don't let it suffer. Although why anyone would shoot this cat, I can't imagine.

For a couple of days I have been dreading even opening the e-mail from my friend that is caring for him.
I finally did today. It's astonishing!

You should put a warning up for us with weak stomachs and very angry hearts. This makes me sick that anyone could do this.
