Go to this link and read your comment.

I tried entering the sz number listed on the above link at the SV zw number search - it came up empty.
I also entered the name Fangschleuse at the SV zw Zwinger search and found a bunch of dogs but no Yessi.

Do you have a copy of the papers? ( if not, get one from them)
Then you should be able to contact the SV for more info, or have someone help you.
There might be some other way to check at the SV site, but my German is lacking.

I wish that I had a single good answer but I have only questions! To prove lineage, a DNA test will be required of not only this female, but her parents as well. This will not be cheap and it will not be quick. But what else is one to do? Hire an attourney for a small claims matter? I think not, unless you plan to countersue. And even a successful countersuit would be expensive; if but for the loss of your valuable time. Do you maintain a copy of the original pedigree as well as any other supporting information? Do you have a signed contract for the sale? If you must go to court, be aware that the judge can be a hardass and ask for a notarized translation.
A pedigree can be easily removed from the pedigree database these days. Lesshideaway, one will not find this female in the HD ZW databse of the S.V. unless she recieved a passing "a" stamp. Dogs who are not examined or who did not pass will not show in this database. You will find them on the S.V. Genetics CD-Rom that is published each quarter and available from the online store of the S.V.. You are right - she can contact the S.V. and ask for a duplicate pedigree.
It sounds as if this guy did not like what he bought - for whatever reason. It may be the ear; it may be hips or elbows; the female may be sterile; it may be that he just wants a "free" breeding bitch. His veterinarian may be one who is not familiar with West-German type GSD's (or any purebred dogs for that matter) and cannot determine her true breed. I don't mean to pick on the veterinarian, but some are much better than others in the practice of their craft and in certain specific areas such as canine care.
So in the end; what would I do? I would avoid any contact with this individual and wait to see if I received a legal summons. In the meantime, I would prepare for battle with as much documentation as necessary and hopefully prepare for nothing. I would also try to find out what has happened to the female - quietly, of course.
Good Luck, and let us know what happens,
Bob-O
