I sent Mr. Moore a deposit of $ 1,800.00 For a healthy, pregnant GSD . When the dog arrived via automobile  she was so thin I could see all of her ribs as well as her spine . Sadly for some other buyer there were two young males in the van in the same condition or worse. I refused delivery and sent the poor dog back to him . After speaking with him on the phone I was told he would refund my money . I have received no money and Mr .Moore will not respond to my e-mails or phone calls . If this is how Mr. Moore keeps his dogs and conducts business  I would advise you not to buy from him .

I would not have had the heart to turn them away in that condition.  I don't know what I'd have done but could never have turned them away.  If these dogs are being neglected, please contact the proper authorities!

How on earth could you return it right away in that condition causing more stress to the Dog yours or otherwise that beats me, Did you not make sure it was fed and watered before it went back plus giving a drink and a bit of food to the other two dogs if not you are as bad as the sender in my eyes,
For Christs sake what is a bit of money when you get a  Dog in need of help turn up at your doors step and turn it away in that condition
You could have took him in and Fed it then got on to your Vet to look at him and make a report as to the condition that would be offical then get on to the seller and say what you want to do about the Dog
Money or not you have no heart thats for sure, Had it been me i would have done as i said above when the Dog was stronger and fit to travel i would have personally returned it and he would have paid me back the money there and then that is for sure, and it is not paper talk, it is appalling what some will do for money
I am bloody glad i am not well off, for those sort of people worship money,
Me i only want enough to stay alive no more it has never bothered me at all not having much,
It is threads like this that makes my blood run cold and i have no feeling or patience towards my cold hearted fellow human beings

Taking the dog to the vet and getting a report of its condition would have been a great idea, I would have photographed the other dogs, too. Its always sad to hear of animals suffering for human greed.

American K-9 Academy,
What a prestigious name.
And you bought a dog sight unseen from    The Dog Ranch ?
Delivered by whom?        The chauffeur ?

I'm sorry but I can't help having an attitude about your posting this story.
I agree you should have done something for the poor animal.
And now to bring it here,  to warn others, thanks, I hope there aren't that many more like you out there but there probably is.

SSDD.

I agree with everyone else.  Knowing me and my big heart I might have been tempted to take the other 2 dogs also--if I thought I could get away with it...........

That is all great to say when you weren't here . Mr. Moore had the dogs Delivered by two men. I wish you were all here to tell them  that you were going to take the dogs away from them. Perhaps we can get them to come to your house and you can take the dogs from them .. And I am not sure that stealing dogs from some one is legal , even if you feel bad for them . Also just so you know,  I am not as well off as you may be and that is a lot of money for me to lose . I will be reporting this to the authorities of course . by the way thank you for alerting him about that . As for sending the money I was misled by Mr. Moore and I see no fault in myself for thinking people are honest .  Lesson learned .I am simply trying to warn others so it does not happen to them . And I am sure that all of the dishonest people out there enjoyed your condemnation of me . Now others like me my not report such things in fear of being judged by you .

Well K-9,
I'm sorry if I judged you, but you brought it up.
Report the kennel, call proper authorities, and maybe a news organization.   The Media goes after these stories sometimes.
As far as Mr. Moore he will answer to someone sooner or later, we all do.
I would run from anything called The Dog Ranch myself.
Thanks for the heads up though.

American K-9,
You're being awful defensive and nobody "spilled the beans" about contacting the authorities, you were the one who did that, I merely made the suggestion.  You could easily have offered them a cup of coffee and told them you needed some time to get the female used to you before they left.  At that point, you could have "gone to the bathroom" and called the police and/or animal control to have the dogs legally removed from their custody.  If $1800 was a deposit, dare I guess how much the balance due was?  That's a lot of money to anybody.  I still could not have turned the dogs away and sent them back to a fate worse than death.  Nobody's faulting you for being upset about losing your money, but sending the dogs back?
