we use a line on the ground - a stick, pole or even a leash laying on the ground in front of the helper, with line-help to teach the dog to stay back off the helper in the  hold/bark.  They learn very quickly what behavior gets the reward (the grip) - no need for a fence like that.

No the answer is not correct in the two Posts to date any more takers on what it is there for, The winner i will give a big thumbs up to and a congratulatory Smile
It is not a catch or trick question But i did not know if any of you Guys use this so it will make a bit of interest if nothing else and who knows it may be of use for i guess that it could help some Dogs

in most cases the fence is used to teach the dog to turn tight around the blind. I have seen and heard good results.

Yes, on boths sides of the blind. The dogs learn the path of least resistance so they will try to go wide into or out of the blind. It's always interesting to see the dog come around the corner for the first time and run into the fence. Their usually very surprised!! You gotta stay three steps ahead of the dogs, or they are actually ahead of you!

It is to help the dog run the blinds tight... I saw Ronnie van de Berghe use very similar looking fences this past April in Belgium.

In that case, nope haven't seen it used and don't use it - never have, my dogs run the blinds tight enough to never lose points on them - gadgets not needed.  Too much to pack into your truck to go to training LOL

Yes, The last three have got it but it is used on the way round to the next Blind it of course depends on which way round the Dog takes the Blind but in the case where it is being used they know which way the Dog will go It keeps the Dog tight in to the Blind a lot of Dogs as you know make a very wide sweep going on to the next blind this keeps them Tight
'Bark and Hold'
this was being used by some of the Guys in training yesterday Ronny was helping out as well with some of the Competitors, it worked a real treat as we have the National Championship this next Sunday and it was practise day for the Competitors, they only had 5 minutes each on Obed and again 5 minutes for Protection
The lines are made of elastic so no damage to a dog if he runs in to it but it is suprising how quick they catch on of course to start with they are let loose just meters away so go round more or less at a trot so they see it and get used to it then when flat out later on they know they must keep tight into the blind on the turn out to the next one
A simple but effective bit of a tool and it works
