You are correct sir. In French Ring, it is all about the dog and the decoy.

There is so much technique involved it is unreal. It is why I love the sport so much.

I went to a seminar put on by the guy in the black suit in the first video. He is unbelievable.

Vikram,
Loved it, thanks.  The dogs being challenged as opposed to going through a routine is what it is all about for IMO.  Love the word "agitator".  Next you will say "bite".lol

I am training my 6 month old GSD male for SchH  right now but I've always loved French ring.   What are the stats for GSD's in French Ring?

by Vikram on 15 October 2009 - 04:10

If you look at the second video I posted check out the GSD who brought down the agitator. He rammed like a freight train!!!

You will find  GSD in ring sports and KNPV. They are few but if they are there doing the sport, then they are the best of the lot.

cheers

Even after my Expresso this morning I was still dragging my behind and then I clicked on the French Ring clip which Vikram was nice enough to provide and thats all it took to get the juices flowing. Thanks Vikram, that was most enjoyable and YES those guys are awesome trainers, helpers and great dogs.I wish we had that available to us here in  Toronto Ontario,Canada.

Wow;  those are incredible video's;  thank you so much.  Those malinois are sooooo tuff;  love to watch them work.  The training that goes into all that is also incredible.  Bet those agitators have to see their chiropractors regularly.  Nan

That was like watching Dancing with the Stars,
I saw one GSD make a nice hit but why would you want your dog to hit low, head down and vulnerable?
Made my balls ache.
The high wall was excellent, and the bites seemed strong, I just thought the rest was a little different from what I'm used too.
Ya learn something new everyday.
