About a show line as it gets!

Ursus has fairly consistently produced excellent working drives. I am fortunate to own one of his best working sons.

They are the best german showline's you could get. However they have produced quite a few dogs with good working & high drives. Much like themselves.
As well as being the best german showline's around, they also have good working drives

This is what is confussing me! Many people write articles claiming that showline dogs don't have what it takes to be real working dogs. Yet, in the Sieger show of 2007 Vegas du Haut Mansard were placed 4th in the VA catagory, where Javir vom Talka Marda were placed 147th in the V catagory. And in the Sieger show of 2009 Vegas du Haut Mansard were placed 1st in the VA catagory, where Javir vom Talka Marda were placed 54 or so in the V catagory.
Javir vom Talka Marda competed nationally as well as international and has proven himself to be one of the best working dogs at this point in time. At the same time, he can't win against showline dogs!?

WhatIf: Brilliant point you have made. So what do all you people who say 'show dogs have no drives, working drives are better' Have to say to that.
Thank you WhatIf, at least someone has the knowledge to point it out for once.

Work, drive, scores, etc don't matter when you are talking about a dog's lines. I have a SHOW line dog that does SchH (quite well, if I might say so), and I have a WORKING line dog that is nervy and won't tug on raw meat. But their drives and temperament does not change their pedigree, ie their lineage/lines.
"Work" is not the same as "working line", and "show" is not the same as "show line". My show line works and my working line is a show champion.
