I was wondering if anyone knows the breeding of Yoschy vom Steintal, a dog from Canada, who just showed in the WUSV.

The dog posted some decent tracking and protection scores and I I'm wondering if the dog is showlines, working or a mix.  He appears to be a black and tan highline dog, but who knows.  Final scores were 96/89/94.  Not bad at all if the dog is all showline...

Thanks,

-Calvin

the pedigree of this dog in this database is correct. He is not a show dog. He is pure working line.

cheers

Isn't the dog a sable?

I only saw  the OB video from the WUSV, which was very washed out in color - but he appears to be a showline dog in the video.  I wouldn't call him sable at all, he's got a saddle and other markings that look showline to me - but I must be mistaken, or the person who posted the video might have gotten names wrong.

I would call the dog a sable. Maybe a washed out sable, but a sable. Either way, he doesn't look like a showline to me. Nice dog though! Does he have any upcoming litters?

the pedigree for yoschy is wrong... here is the proper pedigree of brother yankee who was just used by kennel "Wolfsheim". overall it looks to be an above average litter.
cledford cause a dog has nice structure and appears black and tan doesn't mean its a show dog. i can assure you he is sable and the colour is definatey better in person. he has very nice structure which was a plus in using the dog for a litter. for me he is proper medium sized and deserves his V rating.

here is pedigree of pups i have born in the next day or two from yoschy. i know he was bred once but not sure if it took...

this should be a good combo for body and tempermant

if someone does have yoschy's videos from the worlds please pass it on
tnx

I am also familiar with Yoshy up front and personal. He is definitely a working line sable. Some might call him a "patterned sable," but that is always a subject for debate.

Any video of him out there?  He is one of those no-so-ugly workin dawgs.......drive, temperament AND looks.

not a show dog,by any strech of the imagination, bred up the wazoo on some of the best foundation working stock(if the ped listed is correct)...good looking and "kkl-1" to boot....seems to have good color to me,but i'm only looking at a picture.i'm not "hard wired" in either direction(working or show)...a good dog is where ya find em'......i've seen some excellent working dogs from the "traditional show lines" and some beautiful, well structured dogs from the "working type"...
