Neopar is supposed to protect already infected dogs and overcome the maternal antibodies so that the window is eliminated.  I don't know but other kennels claim their litters were saved from Parvo by Neopar.

Re Kraftwerk trained dog killing cat:

I don't have a Kraftwerk pup, but the new pup I am buying was sired by Zavien Vom Kraftwerk and his lines are impressive. the dam is Razzy Vom Glidaff who is DM normal so cannot pass the horrible deblitating disease of older shepherds to her pups. I  protection trained one GS who recently passed at 13 from DM and cancer, and fostered and retrained the 2 GSD that I currently own let me say that if your dog killed your cat, bit a neighbor, or your child there is no one to blame but the OWNER.

Dogs with high drives are animals with instincts no matter what training they have from some one else.  One of my rescue shepherds is a highly prey driven female who was used for breeding and was red zone animal aggressive.  She now lives with 3 cats and my other GS.  I just introduced her to a rescue kitten last week.  She does not attack the kitten because I am the ALPHA female, not her.  My protection trained dog did not bite others because I was the ALPHA female.  I am the pack leader and I do so without agression but I never forget they are animals with animal drives.  She was eight when she was rescued and had eight years of bad habits which were corrected.  If you have to keep a dog on the leash then you don't yet have control over your animal.  If you allow your dog to roam it is your fault if he bites.  Training is not magic it takes work and repeition and reinforcement.  Similarly, if your dog does not have the fight drive it will back away from an attacker even if it is trained to bite a sleeve.  They are born with it or they are not.  Drives can be ruined by bad training but they cannot be created specially the fight drive.

Just because I have control over a dog does not mean you will have control over those same dogs.  I am confident in the training I have provided, but I am so not foolish enough to think they do not have drives that might lead to a bite if I am not actively leading them.  Just because she does not bother the cats does not mean she would not kill them given the right circumstances.  Just because someone else trains your dogs does not mean they will accept your commands if you are not excercising leadership.  If they walk in front of you unless you command it (on a seek command etc.), if they even think of gurading food or toys from you, if they do not out i immediately, if they try to walk out the door in front of you or if you have not given them premission, then you are not regarded as a leader whom they respect.  They might love you, but they will not follow your commands if their drives are stronger than your leadership.

You and only you are responsible for your dog's actions.  You and only you are responsible if you cannot control your dog.  Don't get a highly driven breed if you are not willing to understand your dog and spend the time every day to be a leader because if you are not the leader then your dog will take that role and you might not like when and whom they decide to bite or challenge.

SSDD All "hunger" has done is make sure that all the Kraftwerk crap is dredged up, again. Bad move, as well as transparent.

I'm a little confused because I don't remember that thread, however, your point is valid.  Isn't Zavien Kelly's dog? or do I have the wrong one?

God, you folks are so suspicous.

I posted about Neopar because in purchasing a new pup:

1. I am very concerned about this disease in the window where maternal antibodies can defeat vaccine.
2. I did not know any vaccine purported to stop infection in pups already exposed.
3.  I was looking up Kraftwerk because Kelly's Zavien vom Kraftwerk (I don't know her) is the sire of my pup to be, and I was shocked and concerend to read the negative items about Kraftwerk kennels .

Sorry if I offended anyone by offering my two cents..  I will no longer post on here ever again.

Incidentally, I have been raising, training and doing rescue of German Shepherds for twenty years.

Just thought if the Neopar news would help anyone I'd post it but I am not one to bother when my comments are not welcome as I have better things to do.

I am sure that is why 90% of your post had nothing to do with Neopar, but related to a long ago thread regarding a "cat aggressive" dog.   <sigh>   That type of disingenuousness simply confirms the suspicion.
