PLEASE help if any of you possible can. Even if you're not a "dog " person please at least forward this to anyone you can think of, please! You never know who may want to help these poor animals. They are innocent and don't deserve what could happen to them.

Thanks

A German Shepherd rescue group called Camp Wolfgang, in Ennis, Texas is closing down because of family issues on 31 October.& nbsp; I don’t have any additional details, other than they are closing their doors.

All the dogs are vetted, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, well cared-for and many have had training.

They have nearly 200 dogs that must find a foster or be adopted before 31 October or they will have no choice but to euthanize them all.

I am shocked by this and I hope you are too.

If you cannot help by fostering or adopting...YOU CAN STILL HELP!!!

Please forward this information to everyone you know...if we all forward this to everyone we know, chances are good that many of these dogs can be saved!

They do not need or want donat ions, they simply MUST place all of the dogs.

Adoption fees are $75.00, free to verifiable rescue groups.

Current dogs: (approximate)
120 German Shepherds

2 Akitas

1 Anatolian/Great Pyrenees

4 Purebred Rottweiler

1 Great Dane/Lab

1 Boxer/Mastiff

1 St. Bernard/Akita

1 WolfDog

45 Other mixed breeds

Time is of the essence!!

If you know anyone who can adopt, accept a dog into their rescue, or help in any way, contact Neisha Livengood, Kennel Master at Camp Wolfgang.

These GSDs are well worth checking out--many of them appear to be of excellent quality.

You can do a quick search on Yahoo Groups searching "animal rescue transport" and find lots of groups to help with rescue transport to help get them safe.

Hope this helps!

I called and talked to them this evening about fostering.  They said if by the end of the month they did not have all the dogs placed they would need fosters.  The lady I talked to was very nice and asked me to please email with all my info and references.  I said I would be willing to foster 2 young females.
The actual reason they are shutting down is money and also Wally's health.
I received an email from a friend who runs a private rescue in the Dallas area and I have forwarded it to all I know who may be able to help.

I can take ONE if transport is available. Haven't heard back from them yet; bet they are running around like lunatics trying to get these animals placed.

Saw that Camp Wolfgang is shutting down. I live and volunteer with giant breed rescue in Colorado. Love my German shepherd and wanted to get the message out about this rescue shutting down by the end of the month. Posted it on Denver Craigslist and Ft. Collins Craigslist under pets. Directed responses to Neisha Livengood at Camp Wolfgang. Continue to get the word out by posting on your local craigslist!!
