My gsd puppy is constantly scratching himself.  He's taking Omega 3 fish oil.  I noticed he has very dry skin throughout his coat.  Any suggestions??

It could be just the change in season. Simon (3yrs old rescue I have had for 9 mos) was like that when first got him in Feb. I changed his food to Taste of the Wild and bathed him with a natural dog shampoo, and that helped. Lately he has been doing the same, and I just gave him another bath (by myself) and that helped.

Hi Dee, are you in an area where you are having a dry fall?  You could start to humidify the house, if he is waking up at night to scratch, have your vet check him out. Has he been flea allergic in the past.
Always,
Cee

Try adding active culture yogurt to his food (a half cup--I'm sure he'll love it!) give him baths with hypoallergenic oatmeal shampoos, and put a humidifier near his crate.  'Tis the season to be itchy!  Fa la la la la!
