Here's a new pic I snapped this afternoon outside while I was scoopin' poopin'! I was gone for about three and a half weeks, and I came home to have a huge amount of poo to clean...Ah, well. Not too bad of a job when the dogs don't have diarrhea!
I'm on the phone as I type, so this isn't going to be a greatly indepth message, but I'll add to it later.
Here you all go!

She's doing absolutely great! She's got a little excess weight on her (hubby fed her well while I was gone...Misty is a regular tub of lard, can't find her ribs at all), but she's not fat and she's very healthy. She's very active, of course, as would be expected of a six month old GSD, but she's not over the top. She's pretty easy going, and we've been working on getting all the obedience stuff sharpened up. Obedience got a bit lax while I was away, since my hubby is not quite as firm as I am, but she's already shaping up. She started improving right away, as soon as she realized that I was home! I think she's definitely my dog, bonded to me like crazy.
I'll get some measurements on her, and some new pics in the next couple of days, and try to get them all posted here.
She's grown into quite the lady!

Oakley is now six months old, Ramage...
Here's another pic I took, yesterday while I was outside trying to pick the rest of my green beans and tomatoes before last night's frost did them in...Thank God for digital photography!
I saw this one from the greenhouse, sneaked past the two sleeping dogs and made it to the house for the camera, but as I turned the camera on, Misty heard me and started to get up, so I shot it. It was so cute the way Oakley put her paw over Misty's back...Very sweet indeed.
You can kind of see that Misty's a bit of a chub...My husband just filled the dishes at feeding time, and just put it down, let Misty eat as much as she could, and then Oakley would finish it. She's quite rotund, and I've put her back on limited feeding. Oakley is fine, and I intend to keep her weight an lthe light side, simply because it's better for her.
That left ear can still be a little bit weak, leaning into the center when she's really, really alert, but I don't know if that's anything to be worried about. She's finishing up with teething (when I left, she had seven canine teeth, only four now), so what's the opinion? A bit more chewing? It wouldn't be the end of the world if the ear never got quite straight, but I'd like for it to be straight...That's a lot of a GSD's appearance. Regardless, Oakley is a beautiful, smart girl, and I'm lucky to have her!
