To whom it may concern,

I have been in German Shepherds for over 50 years. In this time the kennel club has been run to make a profit, not to help the breeds, isn’t it time that we took control of our own breed, and our own future. We have the knowledge and experience of the breed, we breed the animals and show them, a lot of us are judges of the breed too, and shouldn’t we govern the breed as well. If the correct people were in charge, voted in by the majority of the GSD community, then we could take our breed far.

Instead of trying to defend ourselves and trying to win back favour with the KC we could simply disassociate ourselves from them. We could issue our own CC’s, issue our own Affix, register puppies under the GSD breed council instead of the KC. This won’t, by all means be easy but I feel it’s possible. In fact, I feel it’s more beneficial to us to have people dedicated to the breed running the breed.

If we charge the same as the KC we should be able to make a profit, which can then be put back into the breed, or our ailing breed clubs.

I would be willing to offer a donation to start this off; I am sure many other would too.

Yours

William Howell Carrier.

I agree with you stuart i would also offer a donation and if all breeders offered the same we could have a system up and running in no time at all their will be hiccups but its possible with the right people in charge voted in by the gsd community
