As always, an excellent report from Fred!  He is, hands down, the best writer on the breed around.   I wish he'd create a tour for the BSP, too!

Wow, what a great link.  Thank you so much for posting it.

Now who's going to do exactly the same thing for NASS?   Wouldn't that be great?

Fred Lanting is such a breath of fresh air!!  Good is good, bad is bad, excellent is excellent... and no mud thrown @ anyone dog or human.  I read it twice, will read it several more times I'm sure... and will learn SO MUCH more about what was presented there.  ^5 to ya Fred for a clearly written report for the specialist, or the novice.  No gobbledegook just clear reporting and an clear explaination when various terms may not be known by all... THANK YOU... and thanks for posting the link!.

"Mystere" suggested I also lead a tour to the BSP.  This is possible, if a couple of problems could be overcome. I led such a BSP tour in 2001, but it was less than 2 weeks after the 9-11 Al Qaeda attack on the USA, and most who had signed up then dropped out for fear of traveling. Three were left, and since I guranteed a maximum, my expenses far extended past the remuneration. (I charge expenses-only for these tours.)

Plus, the week that exists between the Sieger Show and the BSP is one that I'd either be semi-inactive in Europe, or would have to make it two separate trips (double the airfare). In 2001, I stayed with friends in Holland, but he died, so that is no longer an option. I'd have to fly back and forth, or make some arrangements to be of service somehow in Europe between the 2 events.   If someone were to line up a big enough group to cover my expenses, I'd be happy to reinstitute the BSP trials/sightseeing tour. I've been leading groups in Germany and neighboring countries for almost 2 decades, so I know many breeders and most of the sights.
